83/100

• Old-style Seven Lions, for the joy of loyal fans!
• Elegant and “dreamy” mood, extremely delicate with the right pinch of energy
• Superlative performance by Fiora, finally back again with the American producer

Time has come again for another review, and today we have a delicious treat for everyone. We won’t be straying anywhere else from the latest production from US-based luminary Seven Lions, who has applied his mettle for yet another unique and intense tune. Featuring the renowned voice of Fiora, this new release is bound to hypnotise anyone with its charm!

Unveiled in Seven Lions’ Ophelia imprint, “Dreamin'” is somewhat of a sequel to the previous work from the label boss, along with native duo Tritonal and carrying lovely vocals from talented Haliene. One of the hallmarks of any instrumental from this specific creator is the certain “dreaminess” embedded within the elements, which marks it different from contemporary works of similar genre or schematic of the song. And, with this said, let us investigate further about our today’s topic.

Initiating with soothing and vibrant vox from Fiora, the backdrop supplements the lead component with encompassing atmosphere. A running arp synth adds pace, the while pads attach serenity without falter. However, the breakdown escalates with the passing seconds, as it escalates to the robust and emotional drop segment. Hitting the ears with powerful saw synths, the drop takes over its predecessor with no less delectable tone. Simplicity and sound selection worked quite well with the title, as it demonstrates and delivers.

In all, we have yet another splendidly crafted musical piece, and we are anxious to hear the future reveals of Ophelia!
