Bonkr X Nem – Every Night

July 8, 20202 min read

• Infuriating duration
• Blend of genres in a peculiar drop
• Slick buildup, efficient elevation to climax

I’m particularly fascinated by “Every Night“, an enjoyable oddity which has been released on Monday. Bonkr and Nem fused together Future House, Bass House and that STMPD-style Electro House that is trending, resulting in a curious hybrid.

“Every Night” mixes together distinctive sounds in a dark and entertaining outcome, leaving me positively impressed. Sure enough, its short duration (130 seconds) is almost disheartening, considering how much I point out that songs are adopting briefer schematics to fare well in the streaming industry, however I have to admit that it didn’t prove to be entirely deal-breaker.

This instrumental shows inclination towards being a club-compatible tune, and with that the breakdown resorts to be more of a riser towards the main attraction, the drop. Simplistic formula such as this aren’t my preference, however they fit if done properly! It creates just the anticipation for the listener, and done so with elegance!

Simple formula that gets a profound twist in the drop, probably because it’s a joint-effort… In this segment, we find, as described, different genres altogether, in an explosive pattern that keep playing in a shape-shifting schema. Seth Hills influences are clearly here together with some familiar samples, but Bonkr and Nem added their touch.

Despite the brevity, the experience with “Every Night” was fulfilling, thanks to the captivating structure involved. It is a rarity to find such compositions nowadays… In a scene that jumps into familiar vibes without daring to experiment!
