• Inspiriting arrangements
• Energetic drop segment
• Impressive and leading vocal
Dance music has been a constant source of motivation, joy and positive messages. Longtime listeners would agree to this, without a shadow of a doubt. Our today’s discussion is another well-made production from none other than significant Dutch duo act Blasterjaxx, titled as “Children Of Today“. Not only does this record emanate for a better future, but also retains the signature and industrious vibe as expected.
Being the second single from their upcoming album “Perspective” (to be unveiled in the 2nd quarter of this year), the album shows the melodic side of the leading duology. They have been known mainly for their uplifting Big Room house works, and like any versatile artist, they have decided to take a different turn. Their preceding release “Super Friends” (featuring Jack Wilby), is another efficacious Progressive House instrumental along with the subtle and charming vocal. This time, the track has been voiced by a nine-year-old, which proves the extent Blasterjaxx want to experiment with their sound. Not only that, the atmospheric and elevating tone makes it special and stands out from rest.
Starting from the breakdown, the sublime piano materializes first, as the sweet and leading vocal takes the centre of the stage. The lyrics revolve around the hope of future generations, embedding an alluring vibe. Furthermore, as it forwards into the next segment, the drop synths play an inspiriting and driven melody. Thanks to the well-selected synths (which share similarity to the violin), the oncoming drop segment manages to radiate the stamina effectively. Also, the overall composition fits precisely for the mood, providing an overall anthemic feel!
In a few words, “Children Of Today” has been passionately crafted, brimming with sentiments. Yet another splendid work from the reputed pair! Evidently, the Dutch duo has found the right balance between “commercial sounds” (we are speaking about an album, it’s normal) and their signature sound, without watering themselves down. We loved that!
