Arsen – Inception

April 3, 20192 min read

• Transcendent cinematic atmosphere
• Pleasant style
• Electric feeling through the whole track

Exploring and getting out of the comfort zone is always a good thing in almost every aspect of life, and, of course, this also applies to music. When I’m tired of listening to the same music of Revealed, Spinnin’ or Armada, again and again, I just love to submerge into the deep ocean of music. You are right, I’m talking about Soundcloud, that endless mine where you can find whatever you can imagine, from a diamond to just some rocks.

This time I discovered something special, something that has a really bright future ahead. A new Spanish record label was born, Dzone Records, and it seems like they want to stay here for some time. Their first release is called “Inception” (really appropriate name), which was composed by the young Spanish talent Arsen. Like a cinematic trailer announcing something really big, this tune catches you with its atmosphere since the first second, making use of violins, pianos and laidback pads.

Some heavy snares announce us that a powerful drop is coming, and the expectation was completely fulfilled. When reaching this point we can finally enjoy the dynamic lead section, which was given a movement sensation that makes you forget about the repetitive melody that plays through the whole song. A strong drone bass and some moving top pianos are the icing on the cake in this amazing drop, making it a really solid and delightful part of the tune.

In a Soundcloud scene full of anonymous tracks imitating Steven Vegas’ style of Big Room, this kind of music is like a breath of fresh air that can refresh our minds among that repetitive stuff. All I can say now is that I strongly recommend you to take a look at Dzone Records, because if they continue releasing tracks of this level they will get straight into the EDM game in a few time.
