80/100
• Well crafted sound design in the drop
• A great bouncy vibe
• A consistent but non-static melody
Sometimes while listening to a poppish song, I think something like “oh, a progressive house or euphoric hardstyle remix will suit that vocal perfectly”, and seems like Niviro thought the same this time around. He managed to transform a pretty nice and emotional pop track into a euphoric masterpiece, giving it a twist that really takes it to the next level.
In fact, that’s what I expected coming from Niviro. After lots of great releases on NCS like the powerful “The Return” or the emotional “Fast Lane”, he continues to show us that he is an awesome producer in any genre, being able to create amazing melodies with a great mix and sound design.
Talking about today’s choice, the tune starts with a poppish low-pass filtered loop together with the charming vocal from Harley Bird, creating a beautiful and emotional atmosphere. After that, it increases its power just a bit until the most interesting part of this song arrives. And, of course, I’m talking about the melody. Being played by a really powerful and clean hardstyle lead, it instantly gives you a lot of good vibes. The build-up is really good too, with some snares accompanying the uplifting vocal until the drop hits.
Then, you are really likely to remain speechless. The beautiful melody plays again, but being supported by really massive old-school hardstyle kicks this time, which is even better in the second part of the drop when some melodic vocal chants are added. The final drop also deserves a mention. It starts with a punchy kick and some aggressive hardstyle screeches, but it suddenly changes in the second part. The original kick returns, being accompanied by the screeches and all the melodic background, crafting one of the most beautiful parts of the track.
I think that there’s no need to say that you must immediately take a listen to this tune because otherwise, I’m pretty sure you will regret. If Niviro continues making masterpieces like this, he’ll become one of the most relevant young producers out there in the near future. Let’s hope so because he really deserves it!
