March 23, 20192 min read

• Energetic and emotional schematics
• Charming vocal
• Dynamic and intense drop

Past weekend, leading Dutch label Protocol Recordings released yet another significant music. This production, named as “Wildest Dreams”, is from none other than the leading German DJ/Producer Thomas Gold, along with an up and coming artist Kosling. It is exciting to see a progressive house song on the label, and that too which involves a promising collaboration like this. Furthermore, the vocal duties have been done efficiently by the renowned Matthew Steeper.

Before reviewing the track, it would be noteworthy to congratulate Kosling for this collaboration, and reaching on Protocol. His music already got supported on Proximity, and remixed “Begin Again” from the German act. At the same time, Thomas Gold has been known in the past for his Progressive house records like “Believe” and “Take Me Home“, which makes this team-up pretty interesting.

Now, let’s talk about the single. At the very beginning of the track, it initiates with Matthew’s charming and leading vocal. He also delivers an energetic and vibrant vibe through the lyrics. The breakdown also includes a majestic piano and subtle pads, as the vocal progresses and increases the intensity. Following it, the drop rushes in with a beautiful, energetic & uplifting tone and rhythm. As the melody lingers over, played over by sonorous synths, the bassline and rest of the elements effectively make it fuller and dynamic.

Overall, “Wildest Dream” is undeniably hooking, and it brings back the bittersweet feeling of nostalgia. Huge props to the artists involved in delivering this beautiful work to us.
