CVBE – Melodia

73/100

• Bouncy and hypnotic production
• Impulsive approach during the breakdown section
• High stamina

CVBE from Portugal amazed us today with a fresh Future Bounce tune, “Melodia“. Its point of strength, a gorgeously dynamic melody, is already introduced by the title, so… Spoiler alert! This free download is catchy, energetic, and extremely enjoyable. It reminds us of Mike Williams, because of some samples used, but CVBE has his own personal style, which we will briefly describe in this review.

It’s NCS material, in few words. “Melodia” is the classic frenetic bouncy tune that shows its maximum effectiveness if heard during sport/gaming/stamina-required activities. It brings a particular sensation of happyness and positivity that caught our attention. The bassline is aggressive, with big room influences: wise idea, it adds further energy to the already powerful structure!

The melody, despite being extremely catchy, results being slightly dispersive during the breakdown part, when we were looking for a calmer approach. It’s not a big deal, but we found the idea a bit impulsive. During the second breakdown, for example, there are some elegant chords used for approiximately 5 seconds, followed by a quick transition into the future bounce lead. We were hoping to hear more of them!

This little complaint doesn’t ruin our positive opinion about the work of the Portuguese artist; the overall result shows a certain talent with Future Bounce sounds, with that pinch of crazy creativity that we must appreciate. It works, it’s creative, it’s a pleasure for the ears.
In conclusion, “Melodia” is a really energetic production by CVBE, a name to watch out. It’s catchy, it does its job, even if in a slightly impetuous way. It’s suggested for workout playlists, in particular.
