Sweepz & NOIXES – Confession

• Classy, classy, classy breakdown
• Explosive and balanced bassline
• Sweet vocal

Time for some fresh trap! NOIXES is an artist that always manages to leave me speechless, and finally, I found the time to speak about him.

His style is a crazy hybrid between elegance and aggressiveness… Elegant strings and delicate vocals leave space to a brutal bass in his complex drops. I simply can’t have enough of this formula.

After some glorious releases on Tribal Trap (and Magic Records), the talented producer teamed up with another great name, Sweepz, who has a similar but more minimalistic style. Speaking of them, I suggest checking out my two favorite tunes: “Pressure” by NOIXES and “Blinq” by Sweepz.

Anyway, the duo has finally been released on Trap Nation with “Confession”, a crazy track that I’m proud to review today. I avoided speaking too much about their styles because you can easily understand that while listening to this gem.

The breakdown is classy and elegant. A sweet vocal, not really dominant but more like a background element, is accompanied by solemn strings and an aggressive bassline that slowly escalates thanks to a genial system of claps. I didn’t really like the eagle scream fill, but apart from that, we are speaking of an excellent structure!

The drop brings a lot of NOIXES influence, especially in the hypnotic melody. The bassline and kicks are a wise hybrid of the two approaches, brutal yet lightweight, a detail that amazed me since the first listen. I cannot emphasize more about the QUALITY of that bassline, it makes noise, brings energy, but never results in being too dominant or heavy to handle.
When the second drop comes, with a different lead, this detail is even more evident.

In conclusion, NOIXES and Sweepz have put together a gorgeous work. “Confession” presents their unique and compatible styles with class, intelligence and a solid dose of smashing basses.
