• Awesome vocal by Philip Matta
• Good level of energy
• Rather emotionless
Hardstyle is not a really common genre on Revealed, but every time they release these style of tracks they attain pretty good results. Today we are reviewing “Memories”, a good euphoric hardstyle tune made by the Italian Luca Testa and the fresh Spanish talent Wildcrow.
Starting with only a piano and the vocal, you can instantly appreciate the awesome performance delivered by the vocalist Philip Matta. This part is followed by a poppish structure that smoothly transitions into the classic hardstyle break and build up, teasing us with the main melody that continues playing until the drop comes.
The kicks are on point and the sound design of the lead is good, but I think that the melody and the atmosphere are not as emotional as they could be. There isn’t that spiciness, that explosive energy, that magic climax I was hoping for. “Memories” does its job, but doesn’t totally show its full potentiality. Anyway, the overall result is a good and the powerful drop can work really well on dancefloors.
Summarizing, we have some pretty good stuff from an already known name and a new talented guy. If you’re a hardstyle fan, you should take a moment to listen to this. If not, you should do it anyway, I ensure you that it’s worth it!
