Mike Williams ft. Robin Valo – Feels Like Yesterday

Mike Williams has released a new vocal future bounce tune on Spinnin’, “Feels Like Yesterday”, and we felt it was necessary to analyse it. This splendid collaboration with the singer Robin Valo is yet another successful experiment by the Dutch talent. While checking his discography, it’s remarkable to note that Williams has always dropped some great tunes!

His classic happy lead is present here as expected, but the Spinnin’ release presents some variations and experimentations. I personally thought it was a collab with Madison Mars at first, because of the future bass bassline in the drop, explosive, vibrant and energetic, it adds a magical power to that part. Sure, the dynamism of the melody loses part of the charm (being broken apart by that bass), but the result is creative. Mike Williams found a way to surprise fans and add that creativity that we were hoping for apart from his usual musical scheme.

The break is standard, but extremely enjoyable. Here the producer valorized the nice and catchy Paul Vago voice, with a soft and petite base. Calm but with an impressive climax, that’s without doubt an efficient break! Anyway, the lack of identity has been balanced by the unexpected drop, so, nothing to worry about here, Mike!

“Feels Like Yesterday” in conclusion, presents an amazing vocal, an interesting drop, and a catchy rhythm. Mike Williams didn’t fail this time, once again the quality is very high! Sure, we would have loved a catchier melody, but we would avoid being too picky.

“Feels Like Yesterday” is extremely recommended, a fresh production. Powerful and bouncy!
