• Insane and dynamic bassline
• Heavy Tech House influences
• Frenetic production, experimental and mysterious

Well, today we are going to explore a new world. G House.

“Cash Money” by Malaa finally convinced us to present you this artist that every fan of the genre already knows, but he’s underrated in the mainstream scene. It’s easy to understand why: its style is a mix between G House, Tech and Bass House, underground and wild… Not really what we usually review, but creativity is always well accepted here!

The masked producer is one of the biggest names of Tchami’s label CONFESSION, and part of the Pardon My French team, a collective of four French DJs composed of DJ Snake, Mercer, Tchami and himself. His identity is unknown, but he has been speculated to be Sebastien Benett or even a Tchami & DJ Snake alias.

His music is particular and not really easy to review for us… We rarely check Ghetto House. However, “Cash Money” is an intriguing tune, a good chance to discover this underrated genre for us and for you guys. The composition features a curious lead, with heavy tech house influences, present for almost the whole duration, firstly slow, then aggressive. It’s acid and frenetic, supported by a minimal set of percussions and a excellent bassline. Its dirty vibes create a hypnotic mood, masking the repetitive approach of the melody.

We really liked how Malaa created something catchy with a minimalistic approach. The secret is the bass, energetic and wild, a real example of the insane production skills of the unknown producer.

The mystery around Malaa intrigues us, but “Cash Money” is, without any doubt, a fantastic G House production. Infused of different influences and with a devastating bassline, the new CONFESSION release managed to delight us, still new to that world.
