The front tier of the Electro House genre has many exemplary and uprising names, and one of them is the Dutch prodigy Maurice West. Without taking hiatus or any break, this young talent has impressed the crowd, with both his productions and gigs. Today, we are fortunate to talk about his new single, marking his return to esteemed sub-label of Spinnin’, Dharma. This particular new gargantuan tune has been named as “Seven Seas”, as it engages the listener with narrative melody armed with sinew drop.

First introduced to us via the exclusive Slam FM mix, Maurice gave us a sneak-peek to many of his projects. One of the other songs which he road-tested was the alluring and energetic “Robots In Love”, which got released just a month ago in Mainstage Music. It proudly displayed the creative experiments Maurice had meticulously crafted, featuring dreamy synths in the breakdown. However, this delectable segment was paired with an uplifting and crowd-garnering drop, which upped it by several notches. As for today’s topic of discussion, we will be hearing more of the genuine techniques he has applied to “Seven Seas”.

Let’s see, shall we?

Initiating with the breakdown, we meet with a tension and suspense filling melody. This melody also keeps an Arabic/Eastern tone, which makes it nonetheless earworm and mystical. Following this part comes in the powerful saw-synths, which display the extended version of the melody. The intensity increases as the riser materialize into the scene, working up to the mighty and hard-hitting drop. This drop extends the saw-synths, making it powerful and complemented with a solid bassline and kick combination. Again, the drop strongly keeps intact the avid and excited accent, meanwhile supplementing the requisite stamina to enrich the dynamics!

In a few words, “Seven Seas” straps the listener in for a bumpy-ride through memorable rhythms and progresses with enthusiasm for a wholesome experience!
