Lyente – Through To You

With the warm and vibrant summer in full effect, there have been many records released by different artists, apt for that engaging summer sound. Today we have an interesting new single from Lyente, an uprising talent based in the Netherlands. However, unlike hundred other laid-back songs, this production promises a different approach to the usual and predictable schematic of a pop-dance track. Exploiting his creativity, he has crafted “Through To You”, which got released via the Dutch label Tritone Records.

While this might be his first solo original work, Lyente has also been churning out some pretty good bootlegs. Listening to his recent remix of “Somebody” from The Chainsmokers, it can be said that he pays a lot of emphasis on melody and the groove. And not only that, we were also impressed by the fresh and kinetic sounds he used. Similarly, we found his ten-month-old bootleg of “I Like Me Better”, a chart-topping hit of 2017 from Lauv. Surprisingly, Lyente enhanced the original to a rhythmic progressive housework. After listening all this, we were pretty confirmed with Lyente’s adept skills of production.

Coming back to the particular track we were talking of, let us introduce the breakdown. The first few seconds after the started, we were greeted with a luscious backdrop and enchanting male vocal. The songwriting seems great, as it delivers lovely harmonics. But all of these leads up elegantly towards the drop, which works wonderfully. Sweeping in with an increased pace, the drop introduces us with a squeaky but alluring Turkish flute lead, elegant and unique. The background makes it even better, with the paced and upbeat groove to punch in the right amount of peppy-ness. All in all, the spunky drop changes the game with style and flair!

“Through To You” guarantees to grab your attention and amuse you for over two minutes. An extremely underrated gem!
