New week, new Afrojack wonderful music.
The Dutch legend is literally on fire in this period, delivering great releases like the previous collab “2012” with Ravitez and his edit of “All I See Is You” by Jewelz & Sparks... And those were just his March productions!
Speaking about “fire”, let’s introduce the song of today, “Started“. As declared by TIM-BER, his original solo production caught the attention of D.O.D. and then Afrojack. “Started” is a particular electro house song… If you know TIM-BER (he had some releases on Revealed, an underrated artist, for us), you already understand his drop’s style.
It’s difficult to describe without having heard it… The identifier I like to use is “Avalanche drop”. The Dutch producer uses a unique system, with a frenetic melody, a frenetic bassline, which gives a chaotic effect on the overall result, but also an impressive amount of energy.
Then, we should consider the D.O.D. imprint (hearable in the bass house looping structure) and that big room lead, probably an Afrojack idea. The final drop is an incredible mix of oldschool big room, D.O.D. vibes, and TIM-BER explosiveness. A rare gem, in our opinion.
That’s not the end. “Started” presents an awesome break, in addition! Here we can find a classic big room energetic lead, playing a catchy melody and adding up a lot of hype. Afrojack or TIM-BER put their hands on it, resulting in an enjoyable structure.
In conclusion, “Started” is another interesting WALL release. Perfect as a “party starter”, (get my joke). the electro house tune, with so many different styles involved, is a fantastic concentrate of dark creativity. Wonderful track!
