If someones say “emotional progressive house”, one of the first names that pop out of your mind will be “Dubvision”. Yes, the Dutch duo is considered one of the best ever in that sector, and we are happy to see that they are back with a colossal collaboration with Afrojack himself! Its name is “New Memories”.

After a couple of good releases on Armada and a remix of “Scared To Be Lonely”, Dubvision spent their 2017 in a relaxing way. Afrojack, au contraire, worked more on experimenting, sometimes with risky results.
Hip Hop, Hard Trap, Electro House, Trap… Afrojack’s hands arrived everywhere. The only remaining genre of the years was progressive, so “New Memories” was a natural result of this “creative year” of the Dutch legend.

“New Memories”, actually, brings back OLD memories to our minds. The lovely tune brings back to the golden age of progressive, where Dubvision were ruling the scene with masterpieces like “Turn Around” and Afrojack too was into the genre. Even if his natural style has always been electro house, we shouldn’t forget some emotional Afrojack Progressive hits, like “Can’t Stop Me” or “Peanuts”.

“New Memories”, in conclusion, brings up the progressive spirit of those three Dutch producers.
The lovely break, in Dubvision style, features a splendid male vocal, which helps in taking up the hype and the energetic atmosphere. The drop is splendid, too. Dubvision emotional vibes mix up with the strong Afrojack lead, in a wonderful and sweeter than expected combination.

If you are a fan of Dubvision, you will surely love this release. The melody is catchy and romantic, and “New Memories” is totally their best release of the year. About Afrojack, his contribution has been fundamental, even if not dominant. Another good collaboration in his infinite portfolio.
