The song of today is particular, as you should already know whenever we present less known artists than usual. “Never Let You Go” is a future bounce song, with two huge details that immediately amazed us. Before talking about that, let’s introduce the two artists involved.
The French talent GSPR (with already a huge 1 Million streams hit on LYD, called “With You“) teamed up with the Dutch Kris Reeve (half a million plays on his ”Last Dance“ remix)… The result is a huge hit, which contains enough personality and creativity for pricking up our lazy ears and keep us interested.
”Never Let You Go“ begins with a perfectly vocoded vocal. This is the first element that caught our Attention because, even if at first may sound a bit weird, it’s actually very enjoyable! The vocal, in its curious distorted mood, becomes a hypnotic and enjoyable element, for most of the listeners… Obviously, you may not appreciate this particular approach, but for us, it was a risky and efficient decision!
Speaking of risky and efficient decisions, we can’t forget the drop. That part is a real surprise, also because the break is soft and emotional. We were expecting a chilly and “summer style” drop, you know, but Kriss Reeve and GSPR didn’t finish all the arrows in their bow yet.
“Never Let You Go” presents a drop very difficult to describe… A futuristic hybrid between a future bounce drop, and an acid electro house one.
Crazy!
There is an initial future bounce melody, then an aggressive electro house lead smashes the beat in a splendid way. It reminds us the legendary “Chrono“, a 4-years old collab between Yves V and Mell Tierra, and honestly, this add-on is incredibly interesting! Despite being a clear electro house element, it doesn’t clash with the main melody and the happy vibes of this beauty, they somehow fit well together.
That’s when those producers convinced us. “Never Let You Go” in an intelligent and unpredictable tune, full of surprises, beautiful moments, and talent. So much quality here!
