Crankdat – Reasons To Run

Crankdat has always shown talent, creativity and passion in what he does. The producer from Cleveland climbed up the ladders of fame with a crazy remix of Fetty Wap’s hit “Trap Queen” two years back and since then he’s considered one of the best trap artists around. His music is unique, entertaining and always unpredictable: a clear example is his new release, “Reasons To Run”.

The beautiful future bass song follows the particular signature sound of the American producer, but it impressed us even more than usual. The lead is the classic Crankdat one: happy, positive and energetic, which follows a complex yet catchy melody. The vocal is catchy and passionate too. Even if the melody in the break may sound a bit too simple, it does its job in complementing the vocal! The message is aggressive, suggesting to the listener to run while the protagonist wants to burn the world… Something slightly “brutal” we can say.

However, Crankdat didn’t support those lyrics with a dark base. Instead, apart from some heavy 808s in the middle break, the song seems happy, positive and euphoric. Crankdat rather decided to “put the world on fire” with the drop! “Reasons To Run” is an extremely energetic future bass song. Positive and charging, if you yet doubt Crankdat’s creativity, this is another great chance to rethink about that!
