We have a fabulous big room song for today! “Haunted” perfectly represents the terms “having a good idea”. The massive tune by the Norwegian PATAY features a stunning vocal by Alina Renae, and we loved it!
PATAY style reminds a bit Bassjackers one, especially the kick and the melody’s structure. Being very captivating and catchy, it’s the element that makes “Haunted” an enjoyable club anthem. Needless to say that the producer made a splendid work on introducing that “mysterious” mood announced by the title too.
In fact, the break tries to distance from the classic big room schemes! Orchestral, calm, with the aggressive melody left in the background, it has a particular personality. Obviously, Alina Renae, an experienced singer in this sector, made her job efficiently! She managed to add those vibrant emotional vibes that are unusual in such aggressive tunes!
If we really should make up a critic, PATAY should have invested even more in the “emotional” side of “Haunted”. The break has its style, but the drop still misses that magic touch. Very enjoyable, but the idea has been used at its 90% of potential, for us.
With this hybrid between emotions and pure big room fire, PATAY nailed it! “Haunted” is a catchy production that differentiates from the rest thanks to an intelligent structure and a huge amount of personality. Definitively recommended to all the big room lovers!
