The English/American duo Medii strikes back with another lovely future bass remix! This time the selected song is “I’m on Something”, a tune by BRKLYN and Jocelyn Alice, released via Enhanced.
Being honest, I wasn’t a fan of the original drop. That’s a matter of tastes, but I was hoping for something more emotional. Luckily, Medii solved my struggle with a stunning job. That vocal was so suitable for a future bass remix, I’m happy that the artist gave to Medii this important chance.
Jocelyn Alice, as said, has a wonderful voice. The “I’m on Something” remix, in fact, starts with her part, flavoured with a catchy lead, some orchestral elements (genial idea), and almost immediately, a vocal chopped riff that defining wonderful would be reductive.
That’s the special ingredient of the remix: the vocal chopped melody. It’s creative, particular, sweet and tremendously catchy, exactly what it’s needed in those cases.
The drop keeps this hypnotic melody, adding the Medii signature future bass lead. Needless to say that it’s wonderful, even if, for me, the best part remains the orchestral break.
In conclusion, Medii brought their elegance in “I’m On Something”, delivering a lovely remix. Full of interesting ideas, classy, interesting, that’s surely a high-quality production!
