DISTO – Nobody Stop Freaks

September 6, 20172 min read

This track which I am going to review is particularly very interesting and energetic. “Nobody Stop Freaks” has been meticulously crafted by DISTO, who has quite the talent.
The track’s genre is mainly house, with hints of bass house. I know, it’s an approximative description, but DISTO’s style has always been really particular, with dubstep, trap and bass elements all together!

Here, in “Nobody Stop Freak” there has been a proficient use of vocal loops! I consider it the main detail of this crazy tune!
The track starts as groovily as any house track, with kick and hats and percussion, leading into the breakdown. That part welcomes with an extremely pitched down main vocal loop, which I felt was quite genuine. Aggressive and distorted, sure, but really catchy and creative!

Then, the vocal loop comes in and effectively leading up to the riser, with certain glitches added in between. Some more FXs has been added to keep it lively and interesting.
The riser, along with tonal rising effect effectively leads into the drop.

I think it’s particularly interesting and surely very dynamic! Using the main vocal loop as the frontmost element with bass house influenced drop, it does quite the magic. It reminded me the styles of Tony Junior and Joyride, just to name a few.

The second drop, however, has one more imposing yet simplistic elements which make the drop even better: The siren! No doubt it has been used in many house and even electro tracks, but the siren does the job!
I am not a huge fan of this style of EDM but to be honest this production certainly impressed me.
Hence I would say Disto did an excellent job on this track, and it deserves more appreciation!
