The notable American duo Ephwurd, known for their energetic bass house productions, have come up with another release, “Money”! This time, the singer is the eminent artist Fatman Scoop, whom with his captivating voice has gained a lot of success in the past years.
His particular vocal fits pretty well with the underground Ephwurd style, and this collab, we can say, was in the air.
Just after releasing their first release in their just launched Eph’d Up Records, the duo have announced their second track in the label. The previous track “Phunky Beats” was quite fantastic and energetic. This production also brings in more stamina and intensity as expected, showing that they are able to keep their high quality.
Starting in a unique way with a vintage vocal snippet, Fatman Scoop’s spry vocal comes in a loop. A classic structure, very effective in introducing the powerful wobble synth coming up in the backdrop! Suddenly, the drop impact with an explosion of energy!
“Money” drop consists of a typical bass house drop with sharp wobble synths, playing out at a rapid pace, with house grooves in the background. This drop has every element which a classical bass house drop can have. In the second part of the drop, Fatman Scoop’s vocal comes in once again to create more hype and kinetic. The old-style successive part, in addition, add an unpredictable amount of elegance to the tune!
“Money” definitely is another festival wrecking track Ephwurd has produced, and it does its job adeptly. Its hip-hop influences make it unique, and Fatman Scoop, as always, gave that “catchy” touch that only a great singer can give.
