As the weekend is approaching, you are probably searching for songs to kick back and unwind till the incoming week officially starts. As of that, we have found a delightful production to generate that specific vibe. We have an alluring alternative version of the lovely pop track “Running Out Of You” by the talented vocalist Mandy Jiroux (whose name must certainly be ringing bells in the minds of many), finely remixed by the leading Dutchman John Christian. This subtle re-work embeds the deep & summery feel all-over the catchy original with expertise.
Before we start, let us update ourselves. John Christian has been pro-active in the scene, and he revealed his significant productions/collaborations in the successful Club Life Vol. 5. And only a couple of months ago, he unveiled his contemporary edit of his breakthrough single “What” in Metanoia music. Revamping the endeared elements of the original, he emphasized on the big room schematic in the edit for more intensity. However, we weren’t quite ready for the future, as he experimented with Mandy Jiroux’s sublime for a club-ready remix. This specialised singer has been known for her energetic collaboration with Reez, titled “Fade Away”. It was released on Armada’s sub-label of Zouk, just three years ago.
Anyway, coming to point, the track initiates with rhythmic and shuffling deep house basslines, which effectively leads up to the breakdown segment. In this, the sublime vox materialises, leading the instrumental with a charming tone. The backdrop builds up in sync, changing the emotions as it progresses. With this, the hook drifts in just in time for the tantalising drop to sweep in. Utilising chiming drop synths as leading component, the bassline join hands with it for a harmonic and melodic drop. Even if it may seem slightly basic to some listeners, this simplistic (and memorable) arrangement works quite as expected!
In summary, this remix adds a catchy and vibrant feeling for relish as it doesn’t diffuse energy in the process. Great work from the above-mentioned artists, definitely impresses!
