79/100

A couple of months ago, we reviewed a splendid and unique future bass production from the upcoming duo RudeLies, known for their distinct groovy soundset. They joined forces alongside the Indian talent Shiv, and Rosendale, an amazing singer. This track was titled “Salt”.

“Salt” was an instant favorite of us because of its energy and fresh sounds it contained within itself. However, another talented duo STRΛNGERS, had a notion of giving this remarkable track a different twist; a more powerful and energetic one. And that is what they did exactly. Keeping the subtle attributes of the original track, they introduced some progressive house vibes to give it a more festival vibe.

The remix is incredibly catchy, with a relaxing break and a magical drop. Considering that we were sure that “Salt” was perfect as it was, this new remix is a delightful surprise!

“Salt” initiates in a different way, with a groovy fastened breakbeat, which was a great way to kick start the remix. The intro continues, soon fading to the breakdown, which features the original part from the track. The riser comes in without much delay and, keeping a simple pace introduces the progressive drop.

Until the breakdown, I was a bit clueless on which type of drop that would follow, but my curiosity was solved as the drop hit with power. The drop contains typical electro – progressive synths, playing out an rushed melody. The drop brings in aggressive and kinetic feeling to the track.

In overall, this remix focuses on bringing more classical EDM festival stamina to the original track. STRΛNGERS have adeptly did his job on this remix. They reworked in a simple but wonderful way an already superb tune. A difficult task, but splendidly managed!
