The energetic and tantalizing genre of Melbourne Bounce seems to have gone hugely underground. But it hasn’t deterred talented producers to continue making it, and without doubt they succeed with some fantastic results. One of the fantastic results that I have found is “Droppin Bounce Vol 1” from Jumping Sound Records. The volume has 15 splendid Melbourne bounce production, which definitely makes the whole volume a must listen. However, I want to review one of the track from the whole volume, which caught my attention the most. It is a track from ONel, KAWAR, featuring the sweet voice of Sonia Iorco, titled “Madness”.

The track initiates with a fantastic groove offbeat bass and kick intro, smoothly gliding into the breakdown. The breakdown is more electro house, with the charming vocal coming in, supported by chiming pluck synth in the backdrop. The riser comes in without delay after a few seconds, leading up to the impactful drop.

The drop contains the offbeat bounce bass attacking after the kick, with a classical Melbourne bounce drop synth playing out the funky drop melody. All the elements go perfectly well to create a powerful yet “bouncy” drop.

The drop gives away to the breakdown, which follows the same fashion as the earlier one, with only the difference being the melody being played out, with saw synth charging with drum beats alongside, making it more catchy. This second drop follows soon after, and this time the drop notes have a slight variation to give a slight pitch up effect, making it more kinetic.

In a nutshell, I really relished this production. Aggressive yet alluring.
