We are proud to announce this beautiful remix by the Dutch producer Hypnotune, released through Exposed Network in collaboration with our blog.
Before starting to talk about this little “gold nugget”, I want to explain why we picked it.
I’m not a fan of “Gold Dust”. I respect and appreciate Galantis, but the original version wasn’t really engaging for me. The vocal wasn’t interesting, and I found it pretty generic. Luckily, some good remixes came out after, but this one is officially my favorite.
I loved how Hypnotune worked on all the details, delivering a splendid progressive edit. A little gem that deserves to be reviewed, because it’s an explosion of positive energy.
The break is pretty clever, in my opinion: it starts in the same way of the original one, with the vocal and the piano… And then it becomes a bit sweet and emotional, after slowly escalating into the progressive drop. Interesting and efficient construction!
The drop, needless to say, is my favorite part. It reminds me of the good old progressive house, Alesso and Volt&State in particular… With a catchy melody, a sweet synth, and a powerful scheme, this drop is both nostalgic and magic!
I found the melody really interesting, because it still has a bit of “Gold Dust” inside, but reflects the HYpnotune conception and personality. Very balanced,
“Gold Dust” has been perfectly remixed by Hypnotune, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
