Two months in, and this year has already proven to be significant for the music industry. With comeback from grandeur acts like Porter Robinson, the internet has once again been going heads over heels over with a hot leak on Reddit website.
The previous week provided a hefty (if not dodgy) evidence of the prominent French musical natives Daft Punk supposedly releasing a full-packed album this year. The paper, containing the Columbia Records insignia, shows around twelve tracks with a variety of collaborators such as DJ Sneak, John Cale and the evergreen luminary Stevie Wonder himself. However, just a few days after this photo being circulated, aforementioned personage DJ Sneak disregarded it as a plain hoax. Other pieces of evidence suggest that the tracklist may likely be fake, but the hype train is already started. The EDM world raised the question: will Daft Punk release a new album this year? Today we are picking up this question, and we would like to know your opinion about it.
The French House pioneers last released “I Feel It Coming” with the pop-heavyweight The Weeknd in 2016, and their preceding album “Random Access Memories” earned four coveted Grammy awards in 2014.
