The American producer Francis Mercier presented his new label “Deep Root” with this interesting record… The vocal is from the popular UK rapper and songwriter Kriss Kriss, whom you should know pretty well: do you remember my old article about his collaboration with Don Diablo?
“Shakin’ It” surprised me, that’s why I decided to review this elegant yet tribal tune. Its mood is… Quite particular.
Drums are the main element of the break, while Kriss Kriss, needless to say, made his perfect job as always. He always manages to catch my attention! What a base by Mercier too, the drums fit well with the vocal!
Even if the buildup is a bit raw, the creativity of the drop impressed me, very exotic and ethnic.
The flute (Egyptian?) is both really classy and tribal, I still don’t know how to classify it… It’s unique, professional and creative, the perfect combination for a delightful production.
I am really satisfied by Francis Mercier and Kriss Kriss work! I rarely review this kind of music, but when I do it, I make sure to find the best for you!
