Felmax & PURGE – Make Love

October 11, 20171 min read

Bringing the force of 808’s right into your face, the American artists Felmax and PURGE have joined hands for a gritty trap tune to drop heavy bass on your speakers.

The title, at first, seemed a bit hilarious to me, to be honest, and it seemed to that perhaps it was some house or future bass soft pop tune. But I was so wrong! Within the few seconds of listening, I was right onto it and the tune certainly proved to be energetic.
Keeping pads in the beginning, with some mystical feel ingrained to it, a vocal snippet comes in, rapidly introducing the heavy drop.

Attacking with hulky 808’s and brass stabs, the drop doesn’t step down as I expected, and proved to be as hard it could have been.

The drop gives away to the brief breakdown, comprising again of the pads, and without the slightest delay gaps in towards second drop.

As if the first drop wasn’t hard enough, the second drop introduces a hard screeching distorted synth switching to wobbly sound and vice versa. Exquisite work I would say, to keep it all interested.

The final breakdown upholds a suspense and tension feeling before letting the final drop hit with tenacity.

Final verdict? Splendid production, dynamic enough to make you start headbanging.
