Surprisingly, I loved “The Faver”, probably my favorite Spinnin’ track of September.
Bassjackers and Breathe Carolina are always a perfect combination! In fact, I highly suggest checking their two collabs of the past. Take a listen to “Can’t Take It” and “Marco Polo“, and you will clearly notice the signature style.
This style is not super creative, but it’s a perfect combination of Breathe Carolina and Bassjacers sound together: the lead is electro, but the sound is sweetly progressive. I personally love it, and I was excited about this third collab. “The Fever”, together with APEK (an American producer, maybe less famous but with a long list of super hits and remixes too) is more than I was expecting.
It’s creative.
And kinda funny, in my opinion.
The intro sounds like a bass house track, with a distorted (and pretty catchy) vocal but a trap\underground\bass base. I was already complaining, because this seemed far from the artists’ styles, and I am personally tired of hearing those bass house tracks on Spinnin’, but I was wrong.
Suddenly, with a surprisingly effective transition, the progressive part enters in action, delivering the REAL song.
I asked myself a lot of times why the producers decided to use such a weird intro part in “The Fever”. I like to imagine that they did it on purpose, to make people expect some bass house, and then switching style in the middle of the break. Genial, innovative, and super catchy: that’s how “The Fever” deserves a super rating!
