Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash, John Martin – Reload (DROP RMF 2K17 Bootleg Anthem)

Let’s start the week with a super bootleg by DROP, an Italian duo from Turin.
The two guys challenged themselves remixing “Reload”, one of the most important tracks of the EDM history.

Being one of my favorite songs ever (even when it was still instrumental), I’m obviously very affectionate to it. Ruining “Reload” (and then, making me angry) is very easy, but DROP managed to entertain me with their cool idea!
In fact, the duo created an orchestral intro for the remix, and you guys know how much I love violins and orchestral stuff!

Plus, the long intro part created a “mystic atmosphere“. I really liked it, because DROP showed some respect to a masterpiece, and the John Martin vocal fits pretty well there! After starting as an acoustic version, very elegant, passionate, and “almost sacred”, the bootleg showed its progressive side.

It was the right genre. Their melody is not as good as the original, but fresher, more “2K17”, more dynamic, and even if a comparison is unfair, I appreciated it. It’s energetic and well managed, even if the kick doesn’t make me crazy this is, honestly, a good drop.

That was a risky idea. The chance to insult “Reload” is easy, but DROP with a super intro, an interesting and new “DROP”, and a relaxing break (very emotional, I loved the silence mood there), avoided it. They actually dropped a majestic bootleg. Bravi!
