Today we are back with three well-known producers!
The Canadian\German duo Wanden teamed up with PL4YFIELDS from India, dropping a massive big room hit called “Retopia”. I already reviewed some tracks from those guys and I was sure to find a banger.
I guessed right.
Another important detail I would like to underline is the label. Pink Shrimp (curious name) is a new German label, founded by L3N, the protagonist of one of my first “Discovery Talents”. I’m really glad to find him again!
“Retopia”, in few words, is a banger. If you already know the producers this can seems predictable, but the tune is full of little surprises!
First of all, the drop is really interesting. I recognized the PL4YFIELDS lead and Wanden kick, that’s a good combination, but I loved, even more, the second trap part. It’s impressive the amount of energy that those guys managed to release!
The break is catchy and surprisingly fresh. I don’t really know who made what here, but the result, a classic big room break, with the typical saws, didn’t bore me. I enjoyed the melody and the smooth transition.
“Retopia”, being honest, is a good tune. I would say that it’s one of the best releases of both Wanden and PL4YFIELDS, and I particularly enjoyed it. Catchy and well produced, it’s an example of good big room.
Plus, Pink Shrimp is starting to impress me… This small label is becoming interesting!
