Subliminals, NewGeat & STVRLORD – Original

I know that I shouldn’t review “Discovery Talents” during this week, but “Original” is sooo original!
Plus, it’s one of the catchiest electro house tracks of this year, with an insane complexity level. In fact, there are a lot of people here.

in few words, the masterminds behind “Original” are: Subliminals from Venezuela, a duo very active during 2017 with tons of releases on Quartzo, Alpha and Pulse Records, NewGeat from Morocco, with just a couple of productions but a nice style, and STVRLØRD from India, surely an interesting guy.

Talking about STVRLØRD in particular, I really suggest checking out “Bouncer”, an amazing FeelQ release which I didn’t review because I didn’t have time. Being fair, I recommend “Poseidon” by NewGeat (awesome melody) and “Timeless” by Subliminals too (pay attention to the lead), if you liked “Original”.

Anyway, talking about the tune, I loved the drop. I think it’s an hybrid of those three powerful styles, because it’s too much.

Just, too much.

Every second there is something that slaps my face, a new element, a surprise. It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions, the first time is unforgettable. I can even describe every splendid detail that makes the production superb. You must discover them by yourself.

It’s clear that the four guys involved wanted to show their best skills, and the result is something complex, full, brutal, but not chaotic. The acid lead (I guess from Subliminals) is like a drill for my poor ears, but in addition, the dynamism, the superb melody, the ferocious rhythm definitively created an hole in my brain. Seriously, how can I listen to electro house again after this banger?

Apart from being effectively original, “Original” is clever. Since the drop is awesome, the four producers decided to not even use a break! Yes, they just put there a buildup with a reggaeish vocal. Genial. The tune is whole giant drop, or better, a giant and lethal drill.

It’s early to announce the “Discovery Talents” of the month, but “Original” will be sure on my top 3. Brutal.
