I was waiting for this “Creatures Of The Night” Remix EP.
For obvious reasons, the original version didn’t satisfy me, and I was hoping to find some better ones… I actually did, this is a surprising EP!
I must be honest, it’s not reaaally interesting, in my opinion… But it still deserves a listen!
6. Sebastian Remix ***40\100***
I didn’t understand this one. The remix is well done, but the drop really bored me, and the vocal becomes even more generic. That’s just my personal opinion, but I consider it worst than the old version. Flat.
5. Snareskin Remix ***57\100***
Despite the exaggerated use of vocal distortions and chops (it really annoyed me!), Snareskin made a nice job. Being honest, I must admit that this should have been the real original version. A future bass track with some creativity! I still didn’t appreciate it as much as it should deserve, I don’t like hearing all those high pitched sounds, but good job!
4.PBH & Jack Shizzle Remix ***63\100***
I liked the lead, very enjoyable, but after a while, I got tired of this remix. Hearing it a couple of times is okay but after it… It didn’t leave me very much. I need to mention the lovely use of vocal chops, and the nice melody though! It reminds me Matt Nash – Know My Love, admirable idea!
3. Charming Horses Remix ***65\100***
Really sweet version. “Cute” should be the right word for describing it. Same case of the previous remix, I got bored after a while, but it has some good vibes. The guitar lead is lovely, it gives an incredibly relevant amount of elegance to the remix, and I am amazed by it! If you like chill music, you may love this classy version and the funky part in the end, in particular!
2. Madison Mars Remix ***74\100***
I was missing this guy. Madison Mars never disappoints and in fact, the Don Diablo protegèe delivered a bouncing and catchy version. Using his signature sound, obviously! I appreciated his remix, the drop in particular. It has strong saws and a future bass influence, but it’s energetic and powerful. I loved how he added that creative touch that every good remix should have while keeping the future bass original vibes. Interesting and well made!
1. Luca Testa Remix ***82\100***
What a beautiful surprise! I wasn’t expecting an hardstyle remix by Luca Testa, a guy I’m following for a while… He’s focused on electro music, but his courage is incredible. This is the highest spot of his musical career at the moment, and he decided to try a new genre. Wow.
Anyway, he succeeded in that, the remix is gorgeous. Melodic hardstyle at its finest, with a lovely melody, and I need to underline how well the vocal fits there. He gave to Mahone’s voice anew energy, I’m amazed!
The kick didn’t really fully impress me, being honest, but I consider Luca Testa version the best of the EP.
