Remember “BOOM” and “BYOB“? Then you probably shouldn’t be surprised to hear that the California-based artist Sevenn has formulated another hefty Future House hit! This time, he crossed over to the Future House music label with a rather introspective result, “End Of The Beginning”; a thought of life and death under the form of wobbling basslines and catchy melody.

In the pure Sevenn vibe— the bass hits pretty hard— presenting a soft sound with the main lead even with a retro touch in the background. There is a vocal, although it doesn’t seem to be centered in the song, usually relegated in the back and adding something in the background and exhibiting some delicate distortions in the pitch.

What pulled me here is the pre-drop climax around the third minute, where “End Of The Beginning” takes a darker Techno turn and constructs a final drop that sounds extremely gripping. More feisty than the rest of the tune; even more distorted sounds caught me by surprise and ended the experience on a high, unexpected note. Sevenn did the unthinkable!

While not your vanilla Future House track, “End Of The Beginning” explores uncharted sides of his sound signature. The outcome, maybe a bit underground for the casual listener, is a total gem for us reviewers!
