As Swedish streamer Spotify continues to bat no eye towards that pressing issue, most musicians, unfortunately, have resorted to alternate sources of income for getting living wages. Party Thieves, in a rather amusing but creative way, carved out his own opportunity to earn extra.
Taking it to Twitter, the NYC-based alias wrote on his latest tweet “I’ve made more money shorting Spotify this month than they’ve paid me in royalties thru my whole music career. shorting Spotify stock is my new career it seems“.

Although that might seem a stretch, as the mentioned act has culminated over fifteen million listens on his discography, Spotify pays a meager 0.004 USD per stream. Naturally, trading would have brought more profits as Spotify continues to tumble on the stock exchange.
