Swedish House Ikea

September 20, 20211 min read

Next time when you begrudgingly head to the nearest IKEA store for replacing that creaking old table of yours, their meatballs won’t be the only thing piquing your interest. Last week, on what might sound as a “glitch in the matrix” sort of event, the three esteemed members of the Swedish House Mafia trifecta took to their socials to announce an unusual collaboration with the global furniture dealing chain, taking many by surprise.

What might be the outcome of this association remains unsure. The said collection will be “for anyone who values and supports creativity in the home, especially music creators”, as mentioned by the Swedish based MNC. It is said to be revealed around this time next year, however we probably would get plenty teasers on what this project will actually based on. Mixed feedback entailed from the fans, with many applauding this marketing notion while some displayed their disappointment by citing overpricing concerns.

The veteran trio has released two solid openers last month, titled “It Gets Better” and “Lifetime” from their upcoming album. They further presented a sneak-peek for a heavily anticipated synergy with the Canadian pop sensation The Weeknd, which will reportedly release in the coming weeks or so.
