• Another opportunity for Revealed Radar?
I am interested in Revealed Records’ releases but Radar is a thing that I decided to left apart for some time, its aim on releasing bobbly generic bass house music made me lose some interesting releases such Progressive House, Big Room or, incredibly, Hard-psy. I guess it’s a problem of “quantity over quality” approaches, you can’t keep the rhythm with this catalogue. But we’ve talked about the sublabel in another article.
Luckily, our Discord members voted for “Survivors”, submitted by Lionshy, and I managed to discover this underrated gem thanks to them.
“Survivors” is the track that gave me faith on Radar. Thank you guys!
Both Colin Crooks and Philipp are unknown names for me but when I saw Robbie Rosen is the vocalist of this track I was sure his performance will have a high-quality standard as always. Colin & Philipp’s production is magical, I love how memorable this song is and how emotional the build-up and drop are.
The lyrics are stunning and, dueing the 180 seconds of duration, the atmosphere is full of energy. Sure, here we go with our usual problem with Progressive: the formula is the same we’ve heard hundreds of time… but “Survivors” had a unique sensation of renewing thanks to its personality (and the lead).
“Survivors” is an excellent song for a label that is, hironically, off our radars nowadays. This incredible tune will please the expectations of every Progressive House fan out there with a stunning production, memorable lyrics and an emotional vocal performance.
