Winning Team – Slow Down

July 2, 20192 min read

• Shuffling drop segment
• Catchy & melodic break
• Distinctive sounds

There is no dearth of uprising talents in Dance music, however the up and coming Finnish group Winning Team have made their reputation know lately. Releasing creative and vibrant Electro House music, the band has continued proving its mettle.
We will be talking about their most recent work, titled as “Slow Down”. Published in the Quartzo Records imprint, this stamina-infused single involves groove and Electro elements with a distinctive and engaging arrangement.

While we talked about this supergroup recently last December, they released their previous song “Pantera” last month. Featuring resonating and pluck-y melody, this melodic Big Room track. The drop adds more pizzazz, working with sharp saw-synths and booming solid kick. Anyone who endears SaberZ styled productions, the aforementioned song is a must listen for them.

Coming back to our topic, we will start right away with the first introductory break, which slowly rises along with a leading vocal snippet. The energy bottles up, opening up vigorously in the drop. Embedded with slightly distorted and stabbing drop synths, this segment uses a simple yet very effective rhythm. However, the breakdown further delivers with a knelling melody hook, along the same vocal which sprinkles aggressiveness into the atmosphere. Without much delay, the peppy saws play over, swiftly leading to the riser and the last round of the zesty and shuffling drop. The overall schematic strikes with a different and unexpected intensity!

In a few words, contrary to its title, “Slow Down” comes loaded with dynamism. Props to the Winning Team for crafting this vigorous and incisive production!
