Here we go, another big news coming up this month of summer. Both festival artists had announced their upcoming collaboration, “Lose Control“! The Mexican pair ANG is teaming up with American hard trap act, SAYMYNAME. The duo had just released a couple of interesting collabs with Dash Berlin, Jaxx & Vega and Bassjackers while SAYMYNAME kept making the hardest materials which caught attention on the dancefloor. He had done remarkable performances at EDC Las Vegas, Lollapalooza and a few others. Recently, he released “Ragga Rave” with Henry Fong but don’t forget he had worked with Afrojack, shout out to him as well.

“Lose Control” was teased on IG story by SAYMYNAME several months ago, tagging ANG as the collaborators. Shortly following that, the pair also shared a couple of pictures and videos of making the aforementioned banger in a LA studio session. I was hoping the track would be released at the beginning of summer, especially after an insane premiere by the Dutch duo W&W: they mashupped “Lose Control” with their most awaited collaboration, ‘This Is Our Legacy’ (ft. Sandro Silva and Justin Prime). Everyone was so excited to hear the last drop they played till there’s no news of plans to release the track and a year and half month later, they came out with an artwork and the release date.

Let’s talk about “Lose Control”: the creation was produced at 130bpm with a combination of Hard Trap Electro House and Bit Room. As we know, the creators have different types of kick sounds as you noticed on numerous singles in the past, but they merged these differences into one of the coolest drops I’ve heard recently! Tthe kick seems to be taken from ANG’s 2017 “Donut“, and the SAYMYNAME influence blends perfectly into a Big Room environment. Personally, I found the the first drop just to be a kickstart for “Lose Control” and wasn’t hyped yet until the final, extremely energetic, fast and really satisfying.

Again, I’m so happy to finally hear this long-awaited collab and I wish to hear “Lose Control” at many festivals once the world is saved from the pandemic. I’m looking forward to seeing more new material from SAYMYNAME after doing a couple of dubstep and speed trap projects.
