• Yes, Rawstyle!
• Rave influences on a Rawstyle track?
• Glitchy elements fits perfect with the badass melody
Rawstyle is perhaps one of the trendier subgenres in the hard scene right now, and taking this opportunity amply well, iMVD and Killouz have jumped on bandwagon to bring us, surprisingly, a tune laden with rave attitude. The former is a promising Polish artist whose origins lies in the Big Room domain, while Killouz makes a killer of a debut with this collaboration!
High tempo and 90s gabber influences have seeped into the framework of this production, as its catchy hook is near perfect along with orchestral vocal, some of the main elements requisite for Hard Trap and Rawstyle. It is best suited for boiler room scenarios, but also suited for the casual and new listeners, a perfect balance for pleasing both ends of the spectrum.
Arriving at the first drop, the distorted and rumbling kick catches off-guard with razor-sharp saw-riffs, amidst a garbled synth-shot that ricochets and repeats. Breakdown sticks to a simple format, letting the aggressive synths, mentioned earlier, demonstrate their temper, as a build-up transfers to the second drop. There is a pitch-changing effect added in the backdrop to amp-up the chaotic ambience, ultimately outgoing to the outro section for conclusion.
“Rock ‘N’ Raw” is a creation meant to drive the crowd rowdy, adhering to a “less is more” agenda. It is a different experiment to listen from up and coming talents taking pleasure to mix various styles freely.. a Frankenstein of a signature that can be successfully be unlocked to greater potentials!
