COVID-19 Thwarts Ultra Miami: Part 2

March 8, 20211 min read

It is a grim article to write, but here goes. For second time in a row, the fan-endeared Ultra Music Festival held in Miami, FL has been cancelled. And for the second time at that. Rumours were afloat since last year and were made official only yesterday on 20th. The official account further noted that it will be postponing the event to March of 2022, with added information about the free upgrade of GA (General Admission) ticket holders to PGA (Premium General Admission) tickets, which would include access to air-conditioned restrooms and lounges. In short, it seems refunds won’t be made for now.

Earlier this week Q-brand, the company in charge of the reputed Defqon-1 festivals also declared that “Defqon-1 Primal” would now be delayed to next year of June. Interestingly, on a quick check, Tomorrowland Belgium and EDC Las Vegas are still holding their current summer dates for this year. Whether the same fate will occur to them remains yet to be seen, as more and more live-performances seem to be getting re-scheduled to 2022.
