Nightro – Live Till I Die

May 1, 20202 min read

• Polished and summery tone
• Adept songwriting
• Mid-tempo arrangements

It’s been a while since we heard of Indian-Peruvian duo Nightro, and now we’re witnessing their comeback with their first release for this decade titled “Live Till I Die“, on TGR.

Over the past few years we’ve reviewed them with their festival striking works like “Lost Tonight“, “Locura” & “Prophet“, couple of years ago we saw an interesting shift, all the way from festival bangers to electronic music appealing towards casual listening & the mainstream sound. They garnered traction with their hit along BEAUZ & Tyler Shamy, called “Comedown“. While it was geared more towards future bass with lively drops, “Live Till I Die” flows around its arrangement, smoothly delivering the polished and debonair tone.

If we break down all the elements that make this an ear candy for commercial appeal, the intro has R&B influences and an outstanding summery atmosphere. Mid-tempo here has taken a hybrid direction with modern pop music and blues. The suaveness here overall raises the charm, and you do have a nice hook accompanying which fits the target audience. Thanks to the subtle vocal chops & modulations, it sounds crisp and the lyrics do enlighten a sense of “YOLO, You Only Live Once” on a positive note.

“Live Till I Die” grabbed a oppurtune with the lockdown situation happening, and the song writing does blend with the way Nightro has headed on with their music, their transition and the obvious backlash they must have received did not affect and pull them back. We hope they continue to craft such refreshing tunes, and build a repertoire in the genre!
