• Début from the triage
• Progressive approach
• Equal distribution in this synergy

ilan Bluestone, as talked about in our previous review of his début uplifting trance StoneBlue alias “Hypnotized“, has a load of plans for this year, ranging from an anticipated album, several brand new IDs and many more goodies to help fans enjoy the moment nowadays with the current situation!

That being said, there are also some unexpected moments that have really caught our eyes & ears, about what this well reputed Anjuna roster artist has to offer. First of all, he launched his own live-stream which could lead to his own radio show called “TronceHouse”, and secondly, he has launched yet another side project with his reputed sidekick, Maor Levi, & the vocalist of “Hypnotized”, Emma Hewitt. Christening themselves as “Elysian“, I feel that this particular synergy has built up between ilan and Emma, yet unlike their earlier collaborations where she was a featured artist, where she’s involved in the aforementioned triage.

Now let’s talk about this emotional progressive trancer ‘Moonchild’. Theme wise, we can witness connection with “Hypnotized”, and that’s understandable since it was made by 2/3 of the artists involved there. Unlike “Hypnotized”, this is a progressive approach and not the 138+ structure; the composition has nice equality of everything one could ask for, from the intro to the introductory climax, one could tell that Maor Levi is very much responsible for the instrumental and arrangement. It’s groovy and satisfying with the arps and the powerful stabs stacking up.

When we enter the breakdown, ilan Bluestone’s presence is felt here via the dreamy essence and the strings. Here, ilan seems to have a hand on all the melodies, while the sound design resembles what Maor Levi does. Emma Hewitt enters with her heavenly vocals, skilfully grabbing the essence of “Hypnotized”, but with a lesser runtime and slower tempo. As we pass seamlessly, we hear the hook starting from the build-up and operating till the second climax. It is filled with the requisite intensity and rhythm, thanks to the top melodies & lead sounds, providing a fantastic ambience.

Closing thoughts, ilan Bluestone & Maor Levi have always had great chemistry when it comes to music, along with the recent team-up he’s doing with Emma Hewitt via his StoneBlue début, to this. Nevertheless, a very belated happy birthday to ilan Bluestone and a hearty congratulations to him for forming this supergroup Elysian. We’ll definitely look forward to his revelations in the future.
