• Unexpected, unhurried breakdown along with The Kemist
• Two drops with distinctive signatures
• Catchy melodic structure, vicious kicks
I was looking forward to this exciting collaboration between two of my favorite hardstyle duos, LNY TNZ and Da Tweekaz. Teaming with the veteran vocalist The Kemist, the quartet delivered an explosive hit called “We Made It“, their second joint effort after the 90+ remix of “We Go Up” in 2018. The release is available together with a faster version by Darren Styles, suggested to higher-BPMs-lovers, but, being similar to the original, I’ll ignore in this review.
LNY TNZ have lately entertained their fans with an exotic hybrid between more pop-leaning EDM and raw Hardstyle. The calmer breakdown of “We Made It”, abruptly interrupted by a brutal kick shows an example of their style. Da Tweekaz, evidently focused on creating hooking melodies, added their discernible touch in the last drop. I preferred their part, where the stamina level reached its apex, however the instrumental wisely decides to leave requisite space to both the influences. They are well blended together and hopefully, it will be a chance for both fan-bases to discover the other artists.
The breakdown as said, is slower than anticipated. The Kemist isn’t your typical get-go screaming hardstyle vocalist: his approach is reggae-oriented. Thus, we have a slower segment that takes a sudden startling pace, accompanied by a hypnotic “we made it” vocal loop. Intelligent choice in my opinion, that adds further personality to the arrangements.
That’s why team-ups and synergy are so significant if made with some good intuitions! LNY TNZ and Da Tweekaz have different backgrounds and traits, but they managed to fuse their talent in an amusing way, if not bodacious and surprising. “We Made It” delivers a positive message and it’s a successful experiment: definitively approved!
