• Two of our favourite hardstyle names finally together
• The already excellent original has been boosted with more energy
• Perfect balance between classicism and experimentalism
We had to double check when today we have seen our dreams come true. In the past, we repeatedly supported the Dutch hardstyle duo LNY TNZ, always capable to surprise fans with various combinations of genres… They are our favourite name in the Barong Family.
In a different zone of the hardstyle world, Da Tweekaz occupy a similar spot. Even if the legendary duo has always kept a melodic hardstyle approach, without mixing it with trap or other genres, the amount of genius is the same. Hardstyle masterpieces like “Born In The 80’s” accompanies audacious (and funny) experiments like “Wodka” and “Jagermeister“, always keeping insanely catchy melodies.
It’s like having our personal Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi (both with different approaches, but of the same genre) in the same team. Unreal. The team is a remix pack of “We Go Up“, a track we have already reviewed with a splendid rating.
Being huge fans of the original, a genial hybrid between future bass and hardstyle, we were super curious to see what Da Tweekaz reworked. As expected, the final result is astonishing.
The break is almost the same, with few variations. Suddenly, the nice vocal stops and a Da Tweekaz melody begin to play. The first drop is pure melodic hardstyle, a fantastic example of how beautiful this genre can be. The kick is massive, nothing to add here.
The second drop is what gave us goosebumps, and you know what this means. A sure 90+. We loved how Da Tweekaz kept the original structure, adding a more hardstyle kick and bassline. That’s one of our favourite drops of 2018, with both styles fusing together in a perfect experimental part. The icing of the cake is the sudden stop between the drop, when the song seems to end, and then starts again.
They surprised us, they picked an already awesome song and improved it, they fused experimentalism with classic hardstyle. That’s talent, passion, genius!
