Zedd & Kehlani – Good Thing (Marc Benjamin Remix)

January 6, 20202 min read

• Alluring breakdown
• Stabbing and groovy drop segment
• Contrary yet complementing twist

Reworking on any commercial records to offer the uniqueness and stand-out features in it is no facile task. However, some adept individuals have the ability to present their own interesting twist. Specifically for today, we are going to divulge on the first official remix done by the Dutch act Marc Benjamin for this year. Embedding his aggressive Groove House touch to the latest pop record by Zedd and Kehlani, “Good Thing”.

This is not the first time the Netherlands based solo act has composed an official remix for the heavyweight German producer. “The Middle”, which racked up millions of views in 2018, also received the House-y treatment, getting a sharper edge along with the alluring breakdown.

The same schematics have been considered for today’s highlight. Starting with the sublime and auditory-pleasant nuances in the first segment, which keep a soft and reverberating piano in the backdrop. Building on this, the atmosphere and the vocals emanate the melancholic but somewhat uplifting vibe. Things begin to hasten as the riser makes its presence known, and the dynamic segment takes over with zest. With an assortment of brute bassline stabs and striking synths stabs, the signature sound from the remixing artist shows its true colours! Nonetheless, despite the contrary timber, it adds a funkier shade!

This remix of “Good Things” is certainly assured to be competent in clubs, especially where people expect to hear mainstream songs with a grittier take!
