Dannic & Harrison – Burn Me Down

August 29, 20192 min read

• Dannic is back on Revealed!
• Splendid vocal presence, accompanied by a sweet guitar
• Alluring and emotional structure

After three long years, the veteran Dutch native Dannic is surprisingly back on Revealed (if we exclude his last collaboration with Hardwell, released last February) as a solo. This time, he has chosen to work along with an uprising star: the British prodigy Harrison, who has cooperated and voiced for the most reputed EDM artists in the world, be it the French heavyweight David Guetta, VINAI or the Revealed’s label-head and certified luminary Hardwell himself.

A throwback would be most deserved before I even talk about the specifics of this production. While many people may think this is perhaps their first production together, they will have to remind themselves of “Mayday”, which unveiled almost four years ago. A team-up between the aforementioned duo and Lucky Date, the Electro House concoction was dynamic and aggressively crafted for the dance-floor.

Coming back to my thoughts about today’s single, the instrumental has a festival tailored Progressive House schematic: it starts with a relaxing guitar melody and beautiful voice, which adds the liveliness and soulful vibes. After a few bars, we have the expected build-up. It is then followed by the sentimental and rushing drop section, lead by the chiming synth selection and pumping off-beat bassline. The whole base and essence of the production somehow emanate of the bygone era of EDM, when this particular genre and style used to predominate the Dance charts.

In conclusion, this comeback has met my expectations and satiated me, perhaps becoming my favourite release from Dannic this year. Hope to see him again on Revealed very soon!
