LICHWOOD – Touch

July 13, 20192 min read

• Creative sound-design
• Alternating beats
• Atmospheric and intense

We have observed that within our fan-base, there are multitudes of listeners who prefer to listen the bass-heavy and wobbly genres more over any other. For the Dubstep connoisseurs out there, we have another up and rising talent to recommend. Going by the moniker of LICHWOOD, the US-based creator has impressed us with his latest production, titled “Touch”. It not sentimentally touching, it sure did satisfy our palate for a melodic and intense music!

Talking about our uprising solo act, the Coloradan native has expressed his creative skills in crafting a distinctive and striking sound for his singles. His preceding release “The Descent”, revolves around a bashing snare beat aiding a heavy pulsating bass-synth, alongside the somewhat eerie and tension-building tone. The unique arrangements definitely serves the purpose, delivering the requisite horsepower and atmosphere.

Without any any further digress, let
us talk about the specifics of the subject of this article. The instrumental begins with a knell-ing bell sound, progressing to screeching saw synths along with encompassing pad-synths. With a simple and neat transition, the drop segment kicks in with gritty and vocalizing synths, rumbling and glitch-ing along with the melodic ones. Furthermore, the kick-snare groove riff along the leading elements, making sure of the constant rhythm.
While the first drop section fades to the usual resonating breakdown components, it quickly elevates to transform into a hulking midtempo-ish drop. The creative flow of the stamina and dynamism in this song makes it rightfully stellar!

In short, “Touch” would be an instant favourite for ears demanding to hear
fresh sound-design and unexpected schematics!
