• A mix mash of genres with Future Bounce
• Distorted, heavy bassline and glitchy leads
• Breakdown with Dubstep-like growls
The Future Bounce sub-realm can be rather intricated, with plenty of young people trying their hands and bringing their twists to a genre that apparently doesn’t leave much room for breaking the rules… but then names such as Curbi or Brooks showed us that it can be done. It’s fascinating to see a high amount of interesting releases that one can find, and “Another Day” slides into that category. It follows the recent trend of coalescing styles like Bass/Electro House, turning Future House dirtier and more potent than ever!
Released on Seal Network, a reputed imprint that we have known, often targets under-represented talents. This project has Mad Miguel at its steering wheel. A worthwhile name to talk about, he presents surprising crossovers between Bounce and Bass House, with slight hints of Dubstep in his breakdowns. Collaborations such as “Sunrise” with Raptures and “Blast Off” with Martin Stevenson show an innate sense of experimentation and boldness, with explosive outcomes.
“Another Day”, compared to mentioned records, it’s more classic albeit a good starting point if you want to get familiar with the German producer. The track instantly begins with a long build-up and a distorted vocal that gets fragmented to pieces in the drop after it. Super-heavy bassline, glitchy lead, loads of intensity, and frenetic switches: at this point, it’s not even Future Bounce anymore I guess, but almost Bass House with a distinct lead! The breakdown shows another strength of the alias: Dubstep-like growls make a quick cameo, before getting back at another (more wobbling) drop.
Using a stand-out assortment of leads, Mad Miguel proved that he can think outside the proverbial box, something that gains a lot of bonus points!
