• Minimal, yet riveting rhythms
There are many worth-mentioning artists in the scene, but Quintino is definitely one leading Dutch artist who has been hitting the dance-floor with solid works, for quite a while now. After experimenting with summer/commercial vibes in “Can’t Bring Me Down” recently, he has gone for an underground and distinctive schematics. With a riveting and a minimal beat, this new production is named distinctively as “teQno (Music Is The Answer)“.
This latest unveiled record is a different experimentation, this time with an unexpected genre. It is Techno in general, but with a right amount of Electro vibes in amalgamation with the festival atmosphere embedded. It is quite surprising on how the artist came up with it, since the audience had expectations that the song could be either Big Room House (which Quintino usually does), or perhaps Future house.
Now talking about our subject of this discussion, the instrumental has a unique melody with a simpler cadence. This is later followed by the breakdown which depicts a minimal and tension creating tone, without losing the steam for the oncoming drop segment. Also, a simplistic vocal is later added at the end, which makes the arrangements somewhere between Techno and Electro House music in general. The impressive thing with the arrangements, is how the energy ricochets even without the presence of complex components!
In overall, “teQno” aims at one of the most requisite things in any dance music, the groove. With precise and swirling rhythm, this single once again proves the talented Dutchman’s versatility!
